I brought the Geale fight seeing him make Mundine work non stop every round no wonder he won't get a rematch, hard work and Mundine just doesn't suit his business plan.

Did Ryan say who's idea it was to do the silly stunt in the ring after the Mundine v Jerez bout? I know Mundine whispered to Ryan that he was going to push him, but it seems as though the whole think was planned at least days in advance.

Was gonna start by saying Waters is honest, but following the Jerez after-fight 'I'll push you in the face mate, ok' farce with Mundine that's in question.

Waters is a genuine goer, and who could blame him for wanting a big payday?

The big joke again is of course Mundine. Since the 'Year of World Dominance' boast after the Geale bout, the reality reads:

Ducks Geale re-match. Then follows Falliga, Medley and Jerez, with Waters and Wood likely to follow.

Waters and Mundine set to fight for potential Cotto bout

CRONULLA warrior Ryan Waters could gain a world title and a piece of Australian boxing history should he defeat Anthony Mundine when they fight in September or October.

It's expected the two fighters, who live 15 minutes apart in Sydney's south, will fight for the WBA [interim] super welterweight belt or the Association's No.1 ranking, a big step towards a fight with champion Miguel Cotto.

Waters's trainer David Birchell said he was excited to think his charge - ranked No.7 in the WBA and No.5 by the WBO - could become the first Australian to beat a Mundine. The former footballer's famous father Tony went through his career having never been defeated by a countryman.

''That would be special,'' Birchell said. ''This fight could lead to very big things for Ryan, including a world title shot with Miguel Cotto. We're really looking forward to it. Ryan is training well - don't worry, we'll have the game plan - and Anthony knows Ryan well enough from sparring against him that he'll turn up to fight.''

Last month Waters gate-crashed Mundine's first fight in the 69.9-kilogram division when he entered the ring to call the former rugby league star out after Argentine Carlos Aden Jerez took him the distance.

It's expected the pair will fight at the Wollongong Entertainment Centre.
Mundine hopes to one day fight Floyd Mayweather jnr and he believed one way to achieve that was by beating Cotto to claim the light-middleweight crown.

Before that he must fight former Souths rugby league player Garth Wood to honour an agreement to fight The Contender TV series winner.
