Writing himself off with drink was not something saved for weekends alone. He turned to alcohol almost every day. In a candid interview ahead of his September 15 WBA world eliminator against Anthony Mundine, Waters explains how the fight game helped him to turn his life around. http://www.theleader.com.au/news/lo...or-a-tilt-at-mundine/1937590.aspx?storypage=0
If he knocks me out Ill walk to Bourke backwards in the nude and he can follow me in a bus, Waters said. He cant knock out a four-year-old.
Almost refreshing to see a post about this bout. The Jerez farce seems to have been just one too many, even for the last of the Mundine faithful. Never seen less pre-fight interest for a Mundine bout. Less than a week out and there's been so little mention made of it you could be forgiven for thinking the fight had been cancelled. Noticed that for every 3 tickets you purchase you get 1 free. So perhaps the level of interest in tickets is in line with the amount of interest the fight's generating here?
Ticket sales for most of The Pioneer's fights are fairly dismal but they'll get an OK crowd on the night due to all the freebies that are given out. I can imagine the only people who actually pay for tickets to Mundine fights are that bloke called Ash who once frequented this board and an inbred, mental midget called nobrains whio made the occasional cameo here! What a docile sack of **** he was!
