I think Selby would have alot better chance of becoming a world champion just now if he moved up.

 

True.. but does he really want to be world champ in a weak SFW.. Or make it at FW and pick up some decent scalps along the way.

If he carries on the way he's going I can see him becoming very avoided and hard to match up. (I really do think he looks that good at the moment)

 

Selby will be ready for a world title shot within the next 12-18 months or so.

Some fighters can be stepped up quicker than others Selby IMO falls into that category he has a skill set that will make him a dangerous oppt for anyone if not moved reasonably quickly he will also become avoided very quickly.

 

Wish he would stop acting like a ***** in the ring. Find it hard to warm to him because of it. He was at it again on Saturday when he put the Aussie lad down. Id like to see him in with someone with more power in his next fight. Martin Lyndsay is a good fighter and although he was getting the punches in he didn't have the power to really back Selby up. I wonder how Selby would do when he fights someone with the ability to land good shots and powerful ones.

Although, before moving on domestically.. he's come on shed loads in the past 18 months or so, would him and Hearn not fancy getting Samir to avenge the only loss?

Then he basically has ruled the roost domestically and can go on to bigger and better things.

 

I hope he faces Samir in June, it would mean he gets the Lonsdale belt for keeps and avenges that black mark on his record. After that I'd have him against Miskirtchian for the European in August/September time and then against a world level gatekeeper towards the end of the year. If he comes through those fights and keeps looking impressive he should push for a World Title shot in 2014, although he'd probably need to fight an eliminator first.

 

I must be the only one posting here who doesn't think Selby is up to much and will get brutally knocked out sooner rather than later unless he stops being a cocky ****. Lindsay caught him with enough power shots that if he had any power, he would have put him down.

 

You also thought Demarco would batter Broner..

 

Kind of what I think,we won't find out until they match him with someone who can hit though and they don't seem lime they want to.
