Let's hope Donaire makes a habit out of fighting top opposition. There's at LEAST one more big opponent for him at 118, I guess he'll probably skip 122 or fight Vasquez Jr (Nishioka makes little business sense for Arum IMO) and then move up to 126 to get in the mix with Arums two big guns there.

Bar Nishioka, I say Gamboa and Juanma look to be the only two who can get to Nonito. Fantastic performance against a very good and dangerous champion (and Montiel was the no.1 in the division IMO)

Let's hope Arum can start making the kinda' fights Donaire had missed out on post-Vic.

Amazing performance by Nonito, lets hope he kicks on from here. What a KO.

Was Donaire's feet on the ground when he threw that hook?

Can't believe Montiel even got up after the disturbing leg twitching when he was on the floor. Great shot from a special fighter.

Donaire has to be top 5 p4p now, 3 brilliant wins against Vic, Montiel and sidorenko as well. He has as much talent as pacquiao or mayweather, hopefully he shows it in more big fights from now on

Agreed his resume is actually pretty tidy. Darchinyan, Mthlane, Martinez (IMO he will beat Mijares if they face off), Sidorenko and Montiel. I hope he takes on the winner of the Bantamweight Tournament, but sadly I don't see it happening.

On another note it is really pissing me off that he is now being called a three weight champion when he held the ultimate interim title, he was third choice for a trinket for **** sake hardly counts.

I think it'll happen. Last nights fight was made while Bob was still pals with HBO.
I think Donaire will be heading to Showtime now.
