Wayne Alexander takes me back to being 14/15 all over again.

I remember the Takaloo KO, that was brutal like Takaloo had been hit with a missile.....he was being trained by John Breed over in Northern Ireland at that time I think.

I remember when there was talk of Alexander v Farnell, that'd of been suicidal on Farnell part imo.

 

Wow that's a name from the past for sure. I liked him a lot at the time, an exciting and enjoyable fighter to watch with his power.

 

Great fighter. Massive puncher and very exciting

 

Good fighter to watch the Samuels fight was class the Takaloo KO frightening

 

Alexander v elcock would have been fun for a while

 

I mentioned him in a thread I started a while back.
Massive puncher for the weight.
Actually I mentioned him recently when mentioning his fight with Samuels. What a cracker that was.
He did well early against Simon but I think broke both his hands. I think I read that Simon acknowledged his punch.
I always wondered how Alexander vs R Williams would have gone at LHW when both were on the up.

We had a few names at LMW then with Alexander, Takaloo, Williams, S Roberts, Farnell

I've seen it so many times but that left hook still made me wince LOL

 

What a genuine puncher! A guy who really believed in his power. You can see with the Takaloo ko in his crouch that he was looking for the left hook.

 

Good puncher though not quite top class in my opinion. Vargas was world class and I could not quite see Alexander beating the elite level fighters.
