Two underrated greats with an action based style.

Who would win this battle of windmills?

Both of these fights they should have been given the decisions.

Wayne beat Arturo Gatti in the amateurs, Video is on YouTube.

As for if he fought Dorsey, I would say that Wayne pulls out the win - in a fight with the most punches thrown in history.

Great match up! Love these battles that I never would've thought of myself.

Is anyone scoring a knockdown? Most likely not. I haven't watched Troy in a while so right now I'd have to pick Wayne based off resume and battles won.

Definitely would be a fun one for sure. I favor Wayne. He was such a fun fighter to watch.

Troy was giving a good account of himself vs De la Hoya. Oscar was MUCH bigger than him as well. The fight was stopped on a bad cut in the first round.

If anything, they are very well matched, with Dorsey having a bigger punch. But a tendency to cut easy. I think that is how Wayne wins the fight. Troy hit harder, but Wayne was NEVER knocked down. Wayne also threw more punches. So this is likely a "Pocket Rocket win" either by points of stop on cuts.

Another question is if this fight would break the all time punches thrown in a fight record. "Jesus Soto-Karass’ CompuBox record the pair set was the 3,353 combined total punches they threw, which obliterated the previous record of 3,020 set by Ray Oliveira (1,596) and Zack Padilla (1,424) in their December 1993 12-rounder, the only other fight recorded by CompuBox that cracked the 3,000-punch mark."

I think this fight might break the record over 12 rounds.

Honestly I’m going draw here. Both had a penchant for being involved in split decisions (and draws for Dorsey).

Over 12 rounds they probably throw 3,000 punches against each other and land about half, haha.

If I recall, didn't Dorsey and Kevin Kelley break Compubox records for their non-stop war?
