Trying to be practical, you could have an independent organization at National, Continental and World level that distributes rankings according to a poll of Boxing Journalists.

You would not have a World Champion as such, but like Golf or Tennis you would a world #1 in each weight division.

After an extended period of time, the world rankings could then have a bias put towards them and done more scientifically by computer. With information collected from past performances, and Continental/National ratings, that would still be judged manually.

This would mean a fighter to keep his #1 ranking, would have to, in theory, fight harder opposition than his rival.

Also a Boxing Commissioner for the whole of the States would help things.

Would also like to see a better pension and Union schemes set up for all fighters.

if its a 12 round borefest, there is a pre fight raffle prior of course, and the winner gets to volley both fighters in the balls with steel toe caps on........and the one who show's the weakest balls loses....ha, split decision!

will make the fighters think about going the 12!
