i was thinking when was the last time GGG faced the #1 ranked guy in the WBA? he has had 12 title fights and with all the talk that no one will fight him, i was curious when that was if ever. Even though it wouldnt matter, the WBA ratings are a complete joke

    BoxRec #10 Hassan N'Dam N'Jikam

If you cant figure it out by now, the problem lies with GGG holding that worthless title. Drop the title and you will automatically ranked #1 by all the other divisions...then you can pick which belt to fight for.
otherwise making title defenses against guys like Adamna and Lee are a joke because there are always gonna be about 30 guys that are actually rated higher in the real world and better. :deal

But but . . . Everyone is scared!!

I don't get why GGG can't fight at 168, he said himself he would fight anyone from 54 to 68

But people say he is too small, the same people who say little floyd should go to 160.

If he is that damn good , and knocking mw's left and right, why don't try your luck at 168?

Even ww cotto will try his luck at 160

The WBA is becoming more & more distant from reality. Their ranking is based on mysterious stuff, it doesn't even make sense to say its paroled by promoters...because its not good promoting if thats the case :patsch

There's no guarantee that things would be much different at 168.

While you make a good point that WBA is crap.. it was actually WBA that had him #1 and mandatory for Sturm for years, and Sturm still ducked. Being #1 IBF/WBC/WBO would not force GBP, DiBella or Sturm (self promoted now) to make any of those fights. (Ask Rubio how his mandatory status has worked with Martinez)

So, really no reason to drop belt. At least with belt, his fights can be marketed as title fights. /shrug

You can make this argument with all the belts, they all have upsurd rankings. The one advantage with the WBA title is they give a fighter the most freedom to make fights with fighters outside their rankings and least likely to strip a fighter, with the WBO the next best and IBF the worst.

Good stuff. Rubio also passed on the Proksa and Rosado dates. Soliman is probably the only one that would take it but doubt that would please iceman

Still he has knocked out alot of his opposition. Still impressive. His last like 5 victories and the way they ended is the reason he's getting hyped up.

But I agree to some extent, it will be intresting when he faces Sergio martinez or another world champion. Sadly many will avoid him because he's simply too good at the moment.

Soliman would actually give a much better fight than some of the other guys out there. Very durable and awkward style with lots of movement.

Martin Murray is still #1 according to the WBA website.

What is GGG becoming the mandatory for the other 3 belts going to accomplish? He'll either be avoided or the "champs" will vacate....just like what happened before.
