I remember back when Macklin was a "legit" middleweight and GGG's "first real test".
Took 3 rounds for Macklin to become a bum.

I think in 3 years everyone 160 and 168 except for Ward will be a bum. (Froch will be retired in 3 years.... actually come to think of it Ward probably will be as well, so maybe everyone will be a bum)

Great news if true. Good lead-up to the winner of Sergio-Cotto

    Any discussion about GGG=Hype
Picking GGG to beat Martinez=Disrespecting Martinez

Does that pretty much sum it up?

I would've picked Golovkin to beat Martinez by stoppage back in Sept. 2012 when GGG made his HBO debut. I'd pick GGG to win by stoppage if they were fighting this weekend.
Sorry if my "disrespectful" opinion hurts anyone's fragile feelings.
Ooops, there I go "hyping" again.:rofl

Finally a big name that found a couple of cojones hidden away and actually dares to fight Golovkin.

Like some here said he will be labelled a bum/fraud after getting KO'd but the serious boxfan will know better.

Geale and then Soliman to unify this year it seems. This is a step up but still disappointing

Ya never know. If Sergio handles Cotto he may very well fight GGG (given he beats Geale). But, Soliman has called out GGG and deserves to fight him just for that reason. Not many have made the call, and those that have have not fared well.

Hmm.. yeah. If a dude with a legit belt wants to show some stones, I will watch the fight. Soliman took a lot of losses early in his career, and appears to be one of those true tough guys who persevered and overcame. A dude like that deserves his shot at the big time.

He can apparently also fight a bit.

The HBO were criticising him from the opening bell, saying he was amatuerish, and would gas before the 4th rd.

    LOLOLOLOL.....

he beat Winky from post to post for 12 straight rds, never giving and inch adn he never stopped punching.

He mustve threw 2Kpunches in that fight.

Winky hid behind his philly shell the entire fight.:lol::lol:

Geale is the best opponent for GGG that isn't a titleholder. Fair play to Geale for stepping up.
