I don't see the problem with Geale defending his IBF title first since currently it is the better title without 2 different champs and it was the first title he won.

I don't think someone who fights away from home against the home town fighters and wins isn't the type to duck anyone any way.

I wouldn't mind him trying to get a fight with the Martinez vs Chavez jr winner since they will be ranked higher than Golovkin. and Unification fight. IBF, WBA,WBC and The Ring Title on the line.

Geale and Shaw are looking for the biggest buck. Geale was set to face Pirog when Sturm offered more money, when in reality Geale could've sat back and made easy title defenses in Australia and waited for Soliman to be his mando. He was the underdog in both of those fights. He simply doesn't make near as much in Australia, I don't think if he drew Mundine or Green numbers it would be even comparable to the US or Germany mega-fights.

Geale will put up a valiant effort and pay dearly for it.

Geale has been dropped five times against four C level boxers in his career. Sturm doesn't apply pressure, has a rather basic offense and conservative output yet had no trouble finding Geale. Golovkin or Martinez are much more unpredictable with their offense and are the two hardest punchers in the division with Golovkin being a great pressure fighter with a very solid chin who Geale will be unable to deter. Geale against either would be a blowout.

Yeah, Geale managing to get Golovkin's respect with anything in his armory is almost unthinkable.

Golovkin has a far better chin than Sturm, who during Geale's strongest moments only blinked and shelled up for a bit, never seriously hurt as Geale emptied both barrels on him.
