YES big time. "Kessler ducking this ducking that, who has he fought, only fought EU-trash" .........going on for years. Now its time for "A warriors call" http://volbeat.dk/
As a Ward fan I really appreciate Kessler for making the trip and giving the opportunity. The fact that he is coming to the bay area, where I reside, means that I get to go see the fight in person this weekend...one more reason to be grateful. I also admire his mental fortitude by agreeing to fight in Oakland. He's been completely respectful to his opponent and has said nothing but good things about California. Regardless of what happens from here on, Kessler has only earned more of my respect before even stepping in the ring this weekend.
Well hes a cool dude. Very down to earth. Me and my cousin used to work out in the same gym as him and he always struck me as a standup guy. Always respectful in his behaviour. Never spoke to him myself as I don't know him personally though.
And that is exactly why Kessler has so many fans in and out of Denmark. Many call Kessler fans bias and national.... ( i don't know the words). Boxing is a very little sport in Denmark, but Kessler is big. Not because people loves boxing, but because they find Kessler to be a generally nice guy, born and raised in a workers-area at Islands Brygge. Kessler is the real thing - win or lose. A lot of boxing fans in Germany, UK and Australia supports Kessler too, why..... because they have seen him fight and learned more about him. Actually - every where Kessler fights - he gets new fans ............ (and for the same reasons i am a fan of "The Time Collector" too)
