I see that Gennady Golovkin has a fight for the wba title

Hassan N'jikam is the interim wba title holder

And felix sturm has a fight scheduled against a TBA opponent for the WBA "super" title......

    WTF is going on here?

Golovkin and N'jikam are both excellent fighters, why aren't they getting title shots against sturm???

Why is Sturm allowed to fight TBA opponents while their are 2 great undefeated fighters who should be his mandatory?

I cant beleive the WBA is allowing sturm to not face his mando's :patsch

Golovkin is being ducked by everyone. Sturm is shitting bricks thinking about fighting him, Mundine was so scared he turned down a title shot and ran out of the division etc.

Golovkin should have already fought Sturm, Mundine and N'Jikam by now. I'm getting ****ing frustrated that nobody wants to fight him.

Sturm is the current Super Champion.

Golovkin is the current Regular Champion.

N'kijam is the current Interim Champion.

The situation the WBA have created at 160 is absolutely disgraceful and it illustrates why they shouldn't have any credibility whatsoever.

As far as I can tell, they want to make a fight between Golovkin and N'kijam. Presumably, at some point, Sturm will have to defend against the winner, although I wouldn't bet on it.

How can they even do that, why is there no comission that has some firm rules where those boxing associations need to live by.

It's a joke N'Jikam v Golovkin hasn't happened yet. Apparently it was a done deal in the Summer and I'm still waiting for this, in what promises to be one of the best match ups possible at 160.:fire

The Sanctioning bodies have gotten away with so much for so long, that they obviously think the can do whatever they want.

All they seem to do is dream up new ways to **** fighters out of sanctioning fees - interim, regular, super, silver, diamond titles - it's beyond parody. The only way I can see it changing is if fighters refuse to play ball and realise that all these titles are devalued to the point they're almost worthless.

If all the fighters came out and said they were only going to compete for the Ring title, boxing would be in a much better state and being World Champion would actually mean something.

    What about the IBF?!??

    CHAMPION : Sebastian Sylvester GermanyTitle won :Dec 10. 2005Mandatory :Jun 23. 2007Defended :

Mandatory.. who? Oral (13th)? Simon (8th)? Karmazin (6th)? Who the hell was his mandatory in 2009/2010?

According to the IBF website, his last mandatory was Asikainen in 2007 for the European MW title... WTF?????????????

Sylvester's case smells just as bad as Sturm's. Not gonna throw out there the fact that both are Germans, but come on...

The sooner those belts leave Germany, the better it is for the division.

Sturm's case is bad but Sylvester takes the biscuit.

N'Jikam and Golovkin are supposed to fight each other for the regular title. The problem is that Golovkin is stuck in litigation with Universum right now, so no reputable promoter will touch him with a 10 foot pole for fear of being countersued. I'd expect Golovkin-N'Jikam to finally happen once that gets sorted out, but in the meantime Golovkin has to take small fights in Panama and places like that.

WBA is bad, but lets not forget

    WBC has

    WBC CHAMP (Sergio)
    WBC INTERIM (ZBIK)
    WBC SILVER (CHAVEZ JR)

Does zbik even WANT to fight martinez??

I was under the impression that interim champ means, you get first shot at the real champ???

And what is this silver buisness? What does that even mean?

Why do Govolkin and N'jikam need to fight each other while sturm gets to fight a TBA?

Who was the last mando that sturm fought? Sylvester?

    Their featherweight mess is worse.

    Gamboa is the "super champion"
John is the "super champion in recess"
Jonathan Barros is the "regular champion"

And there will no doubt be an interim title given out soon.
