Why not Ortiz/Povetkin? That would be the best match up in my opinion.

Pov deserves one last crack at a belt. No disrespect to Ortiz, but he already got his.

Can't believe Hearn would stoop so low as to call the WBA to force this mandatory so Joshua could continue to duck Wilder. :stirrpot

The AJ Wilder saga has taken over the GGG Canelo saga which took over the May-Pac saga.
Fans from both sides will argue on behalf of their fighter's position. Take this amount doe, fight in UK doe, fight in US doe, fight this fighter before you get a shot doe. LOL LOL TROLOLOLOLOL

Dont you dudes see that there will always be one side that wants the fight more than the other?? Wilder has less to lose and more to gain in this situation as AJ just made 25 million fighting Parker while Wilder made a tenth of that fighting the dangerous Ortiz. The same way Canelo had more to lose as he was making 15 million fighting amir glass chin khan while ggg barely made 2.5 million fighting the dangerous Danny Jacobs. The A side will fight when they are ready. Yes, fans making noise im sure helps to a point. But at the end of the day boxing is a business and the boxers look at their pocket books first. The same way Mr. Golovkin is about to chose Sullivan over the other available fighters. It is what it is.

Such a tremendous waste of time and energy. They fight when they fight. The end. I never got stuck into the morass which was May Pac GGG Canelo and im definitley not getting stuck into this war. At the end of the day it is completely fruitless and pointless. But time and time again I see fans getting embroiled into these battles on behalf of professional athletes that dont even know they exist.

Wilder will wait until he's 40 or older....

IMO, Povetkin TKO's wilder this year.

So after 22 fights Joshua would have fought Klitschko, Takam, Parker & Povetkin, and hold 4 belts. And he is somehow a chicken ****? :duh Wilder would give his left nut to have had a resume like that after 22 fights.

    You are actually 100% correct

I had personal stuff going on the year pac-may happened and wasn't active online and I'm actually glad. I watched the fight as a "casual"

You are correct, of course Wilder will want the fight more, so far he has had a nice few "little" paydays, but after tax etc he's barely a millionare

This fight sets him and his grandkids up for life. Joshua has already set up his descendents so in his mind its like whatever.

Fight will happen as it always does when the A Side says so, and as with may-pac and canelo-ggg because AJ has the style with greater longevity and is younger, it'll likely be when wilder looks like he's slipping

Povektin has a shot but I see AJ relying heavily on the jab and playing it safe. Probably won't be much of a banger.

Excited for this fight. Povetkin is a real dark horse in the division and if he is able to beat Joshua he'll have proven to be one of the best of time.

Awesome. This is great news. I wanted Joshua to face Povetkin and Ortiz before they got any older. With them out of the way he just has to fight Wilder and Fury to make a clean sweep of the division.

This is how boxing is supposed to work!

Lennox Lewis had a harder time with zjelko Mavrovic than joshua did with Parker

    Did that make him overrated?

No boxer in the history of the sport has looked impressive in every fight

You guys need to stop with this "oh he's a bum" every time someone doesnt put in a perfect performance.

Parker is a good world level fighter and proved himself a worthy world title holder. Joshua beat him fairly comfortably.

Thats a good win, quit hating

    Prime Povetkin could do it.

Old Povetkin? I don’t think so.

I am picking Povetkin if this fight does happen

Parker was a handful for Joshua and I think Povetkin will be even more effective

Povetkin s skill and his aggressive, come-forward offensive style will be hard for Joshua to deal with
