I doubt Ortiz is "hiding." I think he just didn't want to accept the chump change Oscar was going to pay him to appear on a Canelo undercard. Obviously, it was less than what he'd get for a minimum purse bid. So Ortiz refused to sign the deal Oscar negotiated and is heading to purse bids. The question is will Oscar bid more than $600,000 for a fight he was just going to bury on a Canelo undercard? Oscar has never taken Ortiz's career seriously. I have no idea why Ortiz-Ustinov would even be on an undercard. It's a main event fight.
You ever think that maybe, just maybe, no one is ducking, they just couldn't reach an agreement? Like a job seeker that turns a job offer down that someone else would jump on.
Oscar can't promote properly. Haymon and Schaefer built that ****ing company and it was tanking financially until they stepped in and recruited talent. Ortiz forgot that just because Oscar speaks your language does not mean he can help you with your career.
