Normal thing for real business. Stanionis maybe is good but he is not yet enough experienced to be ready to fight vs Ugas. So Ugas most likely should win. It a bit remembers how they get for Crawford title defense fight vs Mean Machine. De ja vu.
I like these. Ugas vs Stanionis is highly competitive and James vs Butaev should be fun while it lasts. This sounds like a card that could include David Morrell at some point too?
Ugas will be as old and worn as Pacquiao by the time this whole thing comes off. He just retired Pacman. He needs to make hay while the sun shines. Will any of the bigger name guys fight him? How bout some ambitious 140lbers with a name?
I like Stanionis but this feels like a bit too early for him. Then again, he likely has no other choice, seeing as there are probably a lot of wolves circling the Ugas wagon now. Pacquiao may actually want a rematch, Thurman will be a top contender as soon as he wants to be, and I'm not sure how long Spence is out, but he will certainly want a crack if he has recovers soon. Ennis is chomping at the bit for a shot, too. Butaev vs. James is a real solid matchup, as well.
So then, when the dust is settled, just one champion at the weight, and they're promising to stick with that moving ahead? Fair play, WBA.
Yeah I think if fight should be done in 2021 th ( this year ) Stanionis should not to do this. I agree that this might be too early for him: he needs more experience. Ugas in 2021 th might be too much for him and too early.
I just cannot envision a situation in which the WBA pulls some of its leeches off the sport of boxing. Highly skeptical of any of this proceeding in an above the board and professional fashion.
