Meh, I think Froch actually takes this at the 11th hour. Happens at the Forest ground and he does a 'Dirrel' on Ward this time. Ward does plenty of illegal $hit in the majority of his fights and a by-the-book ref could well play a major role. Ward's level drops off through inactivity, ref makes him break early/takes points for holding+butting, Carl puts it on him late, finishes strong and takes a close but clear decision......you heard it here first!
Well, money talks. Ward has been so un-noteworthy pretty much since his win over Froch and Froch has nearly a 2nd career after that fight by comparison! Ward is starting to look a bit of a ¢unt frankly and I'm not sure if his management or those supporting him are up for much more.:huh
SOB Ward will only fight in his home town with his person referee, judges, boxing commission, etc., Ward is a Prima Donna, the rematch should be in the UK...............
Froch in Nottinghamshire or O2 Kessler in Copenhagen Doubt ward has the guts to take those fights anywhere but in the US
Spot on. I'm sure The Cobra is mulling it over. I know Ward hasn't faught in 15/16 months but even that was against....er......(insert)avic. Before that was a werid, drained Dawson at slow pace. He'll be hella rusty if he and Froch agreed to fight in say Sept/Oct. Could be Carl's only realistic chance of getting the better of the Calzaghe legacy (although IMO he's done far more already).
Seems strange of the WBA to do this, I mean how many other times have they ordered the super champ to face the regular champ? It's something that should happen much more though.
They're trying to avoid stripping Ward, which in truth is what should really be happening given his inactivity.
I don't see why Froch doesn't rematch Ward now, this is the best time with Ward coming of a long lay off. If he loses, it doesn't really affect his legacy, if he wins he would go down as the best SMW ever.
