If Hearn could get a ref that doesn't allow clinching it could be an interesting fight

Agree del. Froch has nothing to lose and isn't gonna get KO'd by ward. If he avenges the defeat his legacy is immense. If he doesn't he bows out having at least tried.

    Maybe he will.

If he doesn't though, I think the reason is because he doesn't like losing.

Wlad/Povetkin springs to mind. Apparently the WBA want this to happen this year for the heavyweights again which is fair enough.

Ward brings very little to the table, he's not exactly excitement personified in the ring, is inactive and isn't a draw in the States.

Froch/Ward at the City Ground or Froch/Chavez Jr. in Vegas? Tough call.

    Froch should take it

Ward inactive so would be rusty, chance to avenge defeat and earn decent money

Ward's so rusty, maybe will never be what he was before the injury, Froch should take this or at least make sure everyone knows Ward doesn't want it!

Froch has being calling out Ward to Nottingham in the last 24 hours. I hope he's serious, I think the fight evens out some what if you get Ward to Nottingham with a decent ref, especially considering his inactivity.

I think theres a very real chance this fight could get made If Chavez in Vegas can't be done for whatever reason i don't see anything else worthwhile (not that Chavez is worthwhile but it seems it to Carl with the whole vegas thing)If he did fight Ward could it be a vegas fight? If not then presumably it makes more in England,Sounds daft but he's nothing to lose, if he wins he's a legend if he loses he's still a hero with an easily made in-house world title fight v Degale if he wants it, provided of course Degale wins one.
