WBA recycling Middleweight "Regular" title again

    Not sure if this has been discussed on here already but just noticed that the WBA have ordered Murata and N'Dam to fight for the regular MW title Golovkin "unified" with Jacobs. I thought their aim was to enforce these fights to eliminate the regular title and reduce the ludicrous number of paper belts they sanction. Between this and farce Briggs Oquendo fight the WBA are continuing to highlight the fact that they are a shameless, corrupt bunch of incompetents, hellbent on cheapening their belts and organisation at every imaginable turn.

    Unless the champ is legit injured for a period longer than is acceptable to not have a defence for, there shouldn't be an interim champ. It's supposed to be an emergency mechanism to stop titles being vacant not a money making scheme. Simple as that.

    Wba is an utter joke. Regular, interim, in recess, super, wtf is this ****? I'd rather follow ibo, at least their rankings are based off algorithms rather than envelopes in mendoza's pockets.

    Would be better if they renamed it the #1 contender belt lol. Because Jacobs was a good fight. And he is a good fighter. The winner of N'dam vs Murata would also be a quality fight for the champ

    I don't know how you got that from my comment.

    I would be stoked if they scrubbed the regular title from the record books as if it never existed.
    Then the nut huggers wouldn't even have the claim they have now.

    That was just about people picking and choosing when to count title defenses.

    eg Jacobs wasn't a champ but people will happily count GGG's defenses
