We're not really sure how much of a risk he really is because he was never tested. The big names wouldn't care to test him either because he's not worth it and is only living off pure hype at the moment.

To be fair, GGG did try fight Sturm, Martinez, Froch, Chavez Jr, Canelo. Any of these guys I think is a significant threat. The Ward thing was talked about but just never came through. I think if the money is there it may yet.

Ward might come to 168 for GGG, I understand there's no hope in hell that he'd make 160. In fact Ward at 160 would be a farce because he'd be so dehydrated he'd die at the weigh in.

I don't think it's really debateable that he is a very high risk, high reward fight. High risk for the obvious reason, but a high reward because not only is he undoubtedly a top 5 draw in all of boxing, so there's more money there than against anyone else at 160, but if someone actually got his scalp, they'd catapult themselves into a very good position.

Frankly, nobody believes they can him.

 

WBA is taking their time with the bid, but GGG already started his camp, so his team must be confident he will fight in Dec.
