I wouldn't claim he did. The reason Golovkin wanted Jr. was purely from a financial perspective too. If he thought there was even the slightest chance Chavez would make 160 he was have wanted the fight there but knew just like everyone else that it was going to be hard enough getting him to make 168 and wanted the money.

At this point he hadn't had his Lemieux and Brook paydays so was chasing the almighty dollar in a more desperate way.

I highly doubt it's GGG calling the shots just as I've always felt that Oscar does the business side for Canelo, you know my thoughts about K2 but at the end of the day Jacobs is asking for danger money, put aside your Golovkin hate and the whole A side B side thing,it's been made a mandatory for three prestigious belts, this ain't purely about money for Jacobs as he already asked if he could have another fight instead,it's nothing new they all scream about wanting to face GGG until it actually comes down to it and then it's thanks but no thanks,Blizzy had it right when he said pride and public opinion should be a factor but with GGG Pride means nothing they'd rather get lit up on Twitter than fight for the prize of three belts in one night.

Talk means nothing in boxing unless ones actions go alongside it and so far GGGs opponents from his own div have acted like a bunch cowards.

Yea ? Then what happened ?
Golovkin wanted the fight, Loeffler wanted it and negociated with Hearn who also wanted to stage this fight in the UK, cuz he knew its gonna be hit on PPV.

Who didnt want the fight to be made? After mentioning GGG's name dozens of times.
I remember quite well how Carl wanted the fight, said he's gonna f×××k up GGG, only to change his mind a couple days later, by saying he couldn't have wished a better career ending fight than KO'ing Groves at Wembley in front of 80,000 people. And I agree with the Cobra. Did he do it only to tease the fans? ( the interest in fighting Golovkin) could very well be

Froch first sought the fight after the first fight with Groves. GGG wasn't seeking it Froch was. Froch wanted a farewell fight in Vegas and HBO said no. Froch fought Groves again and was in the midst of setting up his farewell fight in Vegas against Chaves but Chaves blew it. So Froch sought out a farewell fight against GGG for a second time in VEGAS. GGGs team didn't want it in Vega and neither did Hearn. I get it the money was there for the fight to be in the UK but Froch didn't want the fight in the Uk. He wanted to check his bucket list and fight in Vegas. Loeffler said they wanted the fight in the UK but who was he to demand anything? Hearn doesn't care what his fighters he only wants money. Froch wanted to go out a certain way and no one was playing ball. The venue held up negotiations so Froch said f*ck it.

You cannot duck a fighter who is not in your division. A duck is when the fight is mandated and someone pulls out. Thats it. Otherwise GGG ducked Ward because Ward was the only team who sent an offer and GGGs team turned it down and never sent a offer in return. In reality GGG has no obligation to fight Ward because he is not in his division. Just like Froch has no obligation to fight GGG he is not in his division. Fights fall apart it does not mean that either fighter ducked the other.

The real issue on this forum is that none of the fanboys who cry that people are ducking their fighter actually know what constitutes a duck. Its like we need a stickied boxing dictionary so posters understand boxing lingo.

You do know it's fantasy that these blokes fight for belts and pride?

It is totally about the money and only about the money and it is not just the guys K2 is lining up its GGG that fights for money too

I agree with 99% of what ur saying.
But IMO if fighter X calls out fighter Y by name then switches off for any reason its a duck in my book. Regardless of weightclass, cuz u put out that you gonna beat fighter Y. If you call out someone by name it should mean something.

Regarding what u said about Froch, I think yea, he wanted a last fight in Vegas. But why didnt he do it in the end. Look at Bhop, he was determined to get one last fight, he wanted it to be in Philly, but it didnt work out like that, so it looks like its gonna be Cali dec 17. Froch could've had his last fight in Vegas with a " Joe Smith", but my guess is he wanted Chavez jr more than location, more than anything. Cuz he knew its gonna be an entertaining scarp with a " name" that he would win. Perfect scenario for Carl.
After that he just teased us with GGG's name. Wasnt ever interested in fighting him and probably didnt expect Loeffler and Hearn to jump so quick on this idea.
Anyway, I would've loved to see Carl fight one more time, even against a Joe Smith.

Oh yea of course they find for money first and foremost. But if u want to cash in the big paychecks you need to put your hands on at least one of the four belts. Then the money starts flowing big time. At least thats how I see it. Wanting 4-5 millions and u never been champion its ridiculous.

Froch did the modern era equivalent of walking into a gym, challenging a fighter then jumping into a cab and getting the fark out of there. Ward - GGG is apples to oranges as neither called a fighter out then retired.

I don't know what boxing lingo you use but in every gym I have ever trained at what Froch did there qualifies as ducking, dicktucking, dodging, etc. - whatever you call it Froch came off looking stupid.

That and the fortune and acclaim he already enjoys back home and will continue to do so after retirement - back home is what matters to GGG when all is said and done.

I get a belly laugh out of people desperately trying to claim a guy who makes millions, owns the 160 pound division and is a hero in his own country is somehow failing :clapclap:

    Oh to be so unsuccessful.

I can't blame Golovkin, who is a FLAT FEE, no frills media hype, King of the MW Bumland for wanting to make up the difference against another mediocre MW, Jacob.
Jacobs should say F.U. to Bum-face Golovkin, and move to SMW where he can make a real name for himself.
