    Mundine UD.

The defining factor imo, is that Mundine would be able to handle Bute's offence relatively well. Compare Bute's offence to Kessler's, and then remember that Kessler had trouble landing cleanly on Mundine.

Mundine would be able to avoid getting trapped into trouble in this fight, and would also do enough in attack to win most of the rounds.

Mundine's recent performances does nothing to change my opinions of what he can produce. He'll rise when the bar gets risen, similar to how Calzaghe fights to the level of his opposition.

To sum it up...Bute isn't fast enough, or precise enough to beat Mundine.

    Nice analysis. :good I agree.

You should vote for Mundine then... He's getting done 2-1 in this poll, despite both of us agreeing he'd outclass Bute

He won every second of those fights and in the Hamder fight he fought Hamders fight and still put a flat out beating on the man, to say didn't look convincing against Hamder mean 2 thing to me, you didn't see the fight or you are blind. Mundine did not lose a round. It is a 50/50 fight.

    In 2001.

He has since gone the distance against Echols, Green and Kessler and from memory has only been down once more since - to a light hitting nobody from Japan on an off balance shot. EDIT: Also down against Siaca in the 2nd

Mundine by Pts. At first glance he is a good fighter with tremendous speed, evasive skills and tight defence. The more you watch him the more positives you see. His has really good power in both hands and a wide variety of punches, to me it looks like he has employed PBF style of fighting with the shoulder roll and counters, he has a sneeky off rythm right hand that gets through to opponents.

I have never seen the Ottke fight but i believe that was early in his career and has since improved. He beat Danny Green easy in a very good performance. I believe Mundine would be a little too much for Bute who would not hold too many advantages.

Not a chance for Mundine outside of Australia. Maybe this thread should be called " Would Mundine fight anyone in the top20?", Due to his absolute lack of desire.

Mundine is just living off a reputation right now....
Too many people here are making judgements without having seen enough of both fighters !

Bute is a little notch above Mundine...sorry but it's a wake up call pals !!

i couldnt disagree with that more mundines reputation of getting ktfo by ottke and running from siaca is a big reason people are going for bute they dont realise that he is almost a completely different fighter from them fights
i think you have seen to much bute and not enough mundine:deal
