Obviously, dumbass. The confusion is where he is a "champion in recess," which is vague in terms of him moving forward and if it's a championship fight.

Yea, it is odd that they stripped Manny.
Maybe they only get up to a certain amount per fight? Meaning there is no difference whether Manny holds the belt or Ugas.
So might as well keep all the belts active.

 

So Pacquaio was made 'champion in recess' because of inactivity since his win in 2019 during a world-wide pandemic, meanwhile Leo Santa Cruz is still the WBA Featherweight champion - a title he has not defended in even longer (Feb 2019 vs July 2019) - and is actively campaigning at super-featherweight.

The WBA only has six belts per weightclass. They can't afford to let an inactive fighter hold one of them hostage indefinitely.

 

I don't know when u first started watching boxing, but clearly u are not familiar with A side and B side. Spence clearly wants and will fight Crawford, but Crawford has to be realistic with himself and set his pride aside. Bob Arum don't even want the fight because he don't want to waste more money on Crawford. His own words. So stop being a fan boy of Crawford and understand his promotor doesn't even want to pay other fighters no more than 1 million, like Thurman and Porter. Once Spence collect that WBA from Ugas, it's just going to elevate his status even higher while Crawford fight another nobody.
