He should fight big names. Abraham, Pavlik. Why not fight Martinez? Or even Zbik?

 

To be a super champ you should be unifying titles, not fighting someone like martin murray, he might be good, he's still unbeaten, but he should be fighting a top 10 contender before getting this shot

 

Sturm is the definition of a paper champ. The WBA have long since swirled their credibility down a toilet with circus acts like this going around.

Hmm I would like him to Fight Gamboa.. but Gamboa is going to have to go to Indonesia and probably fight for pennies.. Marquez did it and it went all bad..

But back to the WBA.. Felix Sturm is still living off that Oscar hype.. Would be nice to see him fight Abraham in a mega Fight in Germany.. Come on WBA...

 

At least he could fight one of the other WBA middleweight champions, there are 2 of them at the end of the day atsch Sturm-Golovkin or Sturm-N'Dam would be way better than this joke title defense. Sturm a C(oward). :hat

 

Murray is a tough challenge for Sturm actually..
N´Dam and Golovkin are in legal dispute with their promoters and cannot fight him currently..

 

I won't lie, I've never seen him fight but the kid definitely doesn't deserve this fight according to Iceman's first post. :good

I always gave Sturm some good praise as his resume isnt as bad as many would like to make out -

But after Sturms fight with Macklin I read something that if Sturm were to rematch Macklin and Macklin were to win, Sturm would be able to profit from Macklins wins after, something along those lines in a contract, but I dont know how good the info was. After reading that I changed my opinions of Sturm

 

Been Super Champ for three fights now. You can also become super champion if you have five succesful defences. Sturm has had 10 now in his second stint as beltholder. Chris John(Multiple defences) and Andre Ward are also Super Champions.

Ward probably got it because of the Super Six. Yes, he beat Kessler, but Kessler wasnt Super Champ at the time.

And yes, he was asking 40% of Macklin's earnings for the coming two years if Mattew won the Rematch and took the title to UK. Talk about slave contracts ...
