Championship fights should be 15 rounds and with a same day weigh in,that would sort the weight bully’s and level the playing field out .

And arguably increase the health damage. Fifteen is fine, same day weight-ins will make fighters cut though, because extremely competitive hierarchies such as prizefighting demand all the possible advantages.

And yes, please. Turki has the cash to compensate for extra rounds. Fifteen was mythical.

We don't even have 10 boxers who can spar for 15 rounds, let alone to fight.

I would love to see Beterbiev vs Bivol for 15 rounds.

From an entertainment standpoint and in certain matches, it would be superb.

It might make sense for undisputed or unification fights between the absolute best. It would 100% create legends in the sport. Also, would be less draws and probably less controversial decisons, etc.

Weigh-ins though would have to be on the day of the fight.

In some respects I would want it for certain fights as I feel like special fights like Morales/Barrera, Marquez/Pacquiao, needed 15 rounds to really settle the argument.

But then seeing how many tragedies happened with 15 rounds aka Mancini/Kim I'd rather boxing don't go through a dark time like that again.

But is that really due to 15 round fights over 12?
Weighing in at several points leading up to a fight and same day weigh ins so there is no possibility of draining. Along with 15 round fights but with decent refereeing. So no mercer vs morrison type beat downs. Is this more dangerous than 12?

I hope so those are the real championship rounds that decide fights. A fight like srl vs hearns. 1 would be a hearns ud nowadays and miss a legendary moment.

While this is a slippery slope, I do think it could work for high profile fights between two proven combatants with great chins.

For example, if Canelo fought Benavidez, that's a fight that would be a great one for 15 rounds. Both guys clearly have great chins and the fight would probably go the 12 round distance which could produce a controversial scorecard, but having the extra 3 rounds in a match of that magnitude could really separate the two and determine who is truly better.

But with Canelo vs Crawford, lets say, I don't have the same desire to see that one go 15 rounds, given that Canelo has what would seem to be a significant power advantage. So I wouldn't advocate for 15 rounds being imposed on any fighter, but rather could be something that both fighters would have the option to agree on as part of negotiations.

If a promoter with deep pockets like Turki would agree to a higher purse for fighters agreeing to 15 rounds, then in certain situations it makes sense. But 15 rounds in my view should never be imposed on a fighter, it should only be utilized as an option for athletes that have a desire to go 15 rounds in career defining bouts who have already proven themselves to be well conditioned with great chins, who often go the 12 round distance, or at least haven't been KO'd, knocked down, or hurt badly at any point in their careers.
