It'll never match the "proper" EBU title (which the WBC run). The WBO have a Euro belt which no-one pays attention to and for a while the WBA have had the EBA belt, this is a renaming of that I think, or worse yet another trinket accompanied by interim versions....
And so it begins. Multiple titles at every level. No one boxing each other because they all claim to be the true champ.
Thought they already had one or is that the WBO? The Board don't sanction it in the UK cos they're part of the EBU who are affiliated with the WBC. And I bet it'll end up like the WBO Oriential title which is been fought for by Monte Barrett and Shane Cameron
Presumably if a WBA Euro Champ picks up the WBO Euro or EBU would he become Super Euro Champ leaving the ordinary Euro one vacant? Chauncy Welliver should be mandatory challenger and unify it with his Americas, Asia, China & New Zealand titles atsch
