WBA to order four man HW tourney

Manuel Charr has been scheduled to fight Fres Oquendo for at least five years now.

 

Either I'm getting deja vu or didn't they try this a while back but for some reason it never happened?

What are the chances that something goes wrong with their plans for this 4 man tournament? I mean one of them probably fails a drug test and even if Miller fight Bryan in the interim he probably goes straight to Joshua in June without fighting the winner of Charr/Oquendo.

Yep. He got off the hook on a technicality issue with the b-sample. They didn't follow the proper procedure, so he got away with it.

Oquendo's WBA titleshot must be the #1 long running joke in boxing right now.

 

The WBA messed up the sampling process with a technicality so Charr won a court order against it.

They tried this a few years ago and literally no one took any notice, lol.

If the WBA really wanted to clear up their own mess they should stop sanctioning these ridiculous 'championship' bouts in the first place. They don't, because they love the money they bring in.

Meanwhile, back in the real world, no one gives two f***s about any of this garbage. Miller will fight Joshua, or someone that will move him up the rankings, Oquendo will continue to be MIA, Charr will fight some random Turkish guy, and Bryan... god knows what he's going to do.

 

Gag on that tourney. Waste of time for Miller, while the other fight is not worth the exposure

 

Oquendo might just be a new word that they like to use in articles about heavyweight fights. Miller vs Oquendo could be the new tbd ,
Or Joshua took an Oquendo and avoided Wilder and Fury, or USADA found an enormous amount of Oquendo in the sample , or Pacquiao took an Oquendo on Broners future hopes Saturday night ..... it’s endless

 

Yeah they did, back in 2016 I believe. Browne, Haye, Ortiz and Ustinov were involved. That didn't work out quite well.

 

Does this mean Joshua-Miller is off the table?

I'm thinking Big Baby needs to get into better shape first. If Fury or Wilder are out, Joshua should consider fighting Pulev.

 

They might as well announce a 4-man tournament of Ali, Tyson, Louis and Dempsey. Will end up with the same result.

 

When are the wbss going to do a heavyweight competition???
