I dont get into the sanctioning bodies and promotions too much but kind of ironic they having the 147lb belt on the line tomorrow at new promoters event with all the talk about not working together etc in the past and the 200lb belt being stripped. (I know different circumstances etc with the whole Benevitez thing, and Mr King) but damn they love those sanctioning $$$$$... Just proves money talks ad bull$h!£ walks... I believe its good when the belts are on the line no matter who the promoters are or arn't. My other gripe at the moment alough old, is WBA completely being removed off boxrec. For what it is or isn't boxrec was good library source all in one for modern records and pretty decent for all old newspaper results and amateur fights at least at major tournements to a lesser extent.
The real question is why is Benn the next in line at a weight he last fought at in april 2022? So they allow a zuffa mega signing to jump the queue for their star boy Garcia? I’m not sure that’s the smartest idea if he loses the belt. Benn said he is moving to middleweight so zuffa won’t even have the head ache of pretending they want the green and gold around their fighter, he won’t need to wear it for five minutes.

Yeah, Benn as no1 contender a bit hard to take alough prob can get away with it as not many contenders around in any sanctioning body at 147 right now. Win win for him tho, can claim weight drained and move to 160 most prob with a ranking. 200lb apart from $ makes zero sense ranking wise if they strip the winner... Yes, think we all want the belt holders to face each other. Teo at press conference disguised as a reporter few days back gave me bit of a laugh. I know its always been the entertainment business but the social media likes/viewership abd overinflated purses and sanctioning fees seem more important than the actual fights nowdays.
yep... Benn proved to be 100% correct im guessing as most of us thought... 200lb now got a "interum" champion who hasnt fought in over 12 months setting up the belt for who they want as champion...
I watched an awkward interview with Sulaiman and Radio Rahim who did what he tends to do and presses ahead with the real questions and it got super uncomfortable between them with the WBC boss trying to squirm his way around the cruiserweight scheming. He didn’t really give any logical answer and just grinned like a pig in **** lol. The Benn thing was a complete joke getting that title shot and if he somehow hit that jackpot with a Garcia meltdown they would have looked real stupid.
