thats about right, mayweather walks around about 150. i thought he would be right at 147 to be honest. but good to see he is on track, im sure victor will be ready though.

149? Crazy. Gives him plenty of time to just concentrate on the gameplan and conditioning without any weight worries.

(Mayweather has never looked 160+ in the ring).

If Mayweather comes in so light then why didn't he make the catchweight with Marquez?

so you're taking marquez's guess over official boxing scales?

Mayweather is hardly any bigger than pacquiao.

Do they usually weigh 30 days before the fight?

He gave his explanation. Might not like it, but it is what it is. Manny Stewart seemed to understand it.

Point is, Mayweather is not that big. He does look relatively big in the ring though, as opposed to when you see him street clothes, or when they show him lounging around in his home. Sometimes he looks downright scrawny then.

I think his mindset is that all the ballooning up, then weight draining, to the extent that some of the guys do, is just not healthy. He seems to want to stay closer to his optimum weight.

mayweather should have a long enough career if he decides to go on, has taken **** all punishment and doesnt let his weight fluctuate

His explanation was essentially that he decided he did not feel comfortable with the weight drain. He felt comfortable at 146, so if that was what he was at weigh in, then so be it.

Manny Stewart even explained this immediately before the fight, saying he wasn't going to drain, then potentially having the fight turn out like Oscar's fight with Pac. Floyd basically said the same thing when they replayed the fight and interviewed him on HBO a week later.

    149??!!!

Damn, that is light. So he must walk around at 155 then, at the most? There was me thinking that's what he comes into the ring as :patsch

He's a lot like Donaire and Hopkins, in that their frames look a lot bigger than what you'd think they weigh. Donaire was 126 compared to Montiel who was 134, on fight night. You wouldn't have thought it.

Yeah, Floyd is still the exact same size and weight as he was when he fought Baldomir and co back around 2006:

There's a huge change. The guy is like 20 lbs. bigger. Looking at photos is an accurate way to determine somone's weight. The fact that Mayweather is standing next a much bigger guy in the first picture has no effect on how big he looks.
