That's gotta be fake as ****, GGG is probably weighing close to 180.

He's one of the biggest middleweights going around today

  3. It's the 160lbs weight division, not the 155lbs division.

    Idiot.

Can someone explain something to me- why are these guys weighing in lighter at the 30 day weigh-in then they do in ring?

My understanding is that they get to their fighting weight (let's say about 170 for Canelo and GGG) and then "drain" by dehydrating in the last week before the fight, and then rehydrate back to their pre "drain" weight. Why are they apparently already partly "drained" 30 days out? Do they dehydrate for the 30-day weigh-in to show off?

This only serves to highlight the cowardice of Canelo.

Khan said in an interview with Fight Hype over at Virgil's gym that his team asked to fight Canelo at 154 but Oscar said nope 155 or no fight. Wasn't Oscar just saying a few weeks ago that Canelo is going back down to 154?:huh Oscar is a clown.:rofl

Golovkin could make 147 and take out every fighter from there to 168.

What's your point. He's the MW Champion, PERIOD.

He'll use the weight as a bargaining chip to get a bigger pot split. :patsch:patsch

Canelo can be layed down at whichever weight he chooses. Just so long as he's paying GGG to lay him down.:-(

This just shows GGG is a true 160 fighter whereas Canelo could easily move up to 168 but instead he's draining people to his ridiculous weight only to baloon up to 168 on fight night.

Matter of fact is that Canelo doesn't have to fight at 160, he just needs to vacate the middleweight belt and do whatever he likes at his personal weight class.

all it shows is that Canelo is young enough to where his body can take all the abuse from cutting weiggt to where GGGs cant

Canelo is not tall and his arm length is average. But he is stocky which is why he needs to fight at the higher weight. There are plenty of welterweights that are taller and have longer reach than Canelo. Many middleweights with sound boxing skills can beat him. Problem is they get robbed when they do. :patsch

This is exactly what's going on. They do it to make up for his less than stellar boxing skills. Its called stacking the deck against your opponent. Its really disgusting and disrespectful to the sport. But unfortunately todays fighters are mostly opportunists who want to make as much money they can in a short period.

A boxer will always throw the "your not the one taking punches" into the conversation when pressed on issues. I tell them fug off you chose this profession and knew the consequences and dilemmas that come with it so just STFU and fight!
