Also, Jack has been KO1'd. and with Stevenson's punching power it might happen again.
he could have fought his mando and if victorious fight Jack defending a real belt afterwards.

I dont read too much into that KO loss anymore it was a freak happening. He has eaten many good shots since and was fine.

I find it hard to believe that Stevenson would take a fight with Jack. its Stevenson's M.O. to not fight live opponents and Jack is that; and also his toughest opponent in a long time.

 

The Haymon probably "advised" him to take the fight. "An advice you can't refuse" so to speak.

I am leaning along them lines as well, that it is a money move but it still sucks because Alvarez fought for his shot and he deserves it. Jack should respect that and just fight the winner of that contest. If he's bored then Beterbiev will be more than happy to give him some work.
