Laugh all you like at Povetkin KOing Whyte, but Whytes left hook, stiff intentful jab and body punches give him a decent shot. Yeah he's a clumsy oaf but he'd be a tough night's work for Fury especially if It's Fury from Wilder 3. I think Fury would beat Whyte but WBC are just doing there usual scummy protection tactics basing the split on Fury Wilder 3 and Whytes last fight with no crowd (which is hardly fair to begin with)
Whyte should be chomping at the bit for his first ever title shot. Sick of B side fighters thinking they're the A side ffs.
20% will be a lot of money. Whyte already turned down a 5 million minimum guarantee offer from Fury's promoters. For a man who just went 1-1 in his last two fights against a 40+ year old second tier heavyweight, Whyte's getting a very fair deal, if he wants it.
For $5m I'll fight the big dosser and Whyte on the same night. After $1m worth of surgeries, I'll still be ahead.
20 or 25 % that was always around the split for each federation. The IBF upped it and brought in a new ruling that made it 35%, and Warrington Vs Galahad was the first fight under their new rulings. That was a couple of years ago. It's always been the same for challengers.
Whyte needs to realise it's now or never. He's been checkmated by the WBC and needs to know when to fight and when to retreat and regroup. Hopefully this spurs him on and motivates him to come in fully and mentally prepared against Fury.
