All this excitement about future fights....

...what happens if Geale beats Cotto? He could rain on the WBC's parade by putting an end to Cotto-Canelo

The WBC would just drag it out in the meantime Cotto-Canelo would have already happened.:deal

You're right but that's highly doubtful.

Where can I read this news?

Poor form by WBC (although, in fairness, I'd rather see the Cotto v Canelo fight first anyway) but GGG should shoulder some responsibility.

He should have been pushing for the mandatory shot immediately after winning the interim. Instead he's floated along fighting more bums and wasting time.

Me too but Cotto has a rematch clause and Golovkin would have to wait anyway.

Too much money in Cotto-Canelo if Cotto beats Geale he will fight Canelo then vacate if he wins. Canelo would fight GGG if he beats Cotto IMO.

If Canelo beats Cotto he already mention he's not fighting at middleweight just yet so GGG sidestep is worthless but I believe if Cotto beats Canelo he'll box GGG cause he'll be the A fighter

If the WBC changed their ruling why would GGG even be eligible for step aside money? Pretty disgraceful how the sport is treating him.
