Thats horrible, there are great unification fights that can be made between WBC holders and other fighters

so i guess Canelo wont fight other champs now

We already knew this, since Canelo couldn't fight Trout for the same reason, and Ioka was forced to vacate his title after he won Yaegashi's WBA strap.

He doesn't own the WBC one anymore, because he wouldn't fight Anthony Dirrell I believe.

Honestly, this should lead to the WBC being lowered to the tier of the IBO, NABF, etc.: titles no one gives two ****s about.

You can't allow a single belt that can never be unified to make it impossible for any division's champ to ever unify "all the significant titles" and become undisputed.

 

This is good, too many damn belts. We need one strong belt per division. I hate that there are 5 to 6 champions per weight class.
