This really changes things for Donaire's stated intentions - looking to get 3 out of 4 Super Bantamweight belts as the 122lb unified champ before moving up to 126. That leaves Abner Mares w/ the WBC Title - guess he cant get that fight. And the fight i wanted to see to unseat that slightly over-heralded young punk. And Guillermo Rigondeaux who has the WBA Title. **** if he's gonna fight Riggy lol. Even asked about that. Won't fight him unless Riggy opens up and stops being the natural counter-puncher he is.... that WONT happen! I suspect Donaire will choose to move to 126.

If the fans make enough noise,we can maybe get this **** fixed.
But,how should we do this? Should we just ignore the WBC fights,belts and champs?
Do we indeed choose to demote the WBC to IBO level or what?

Actually you know what,why not just switch the IBO and WBC? The IBO belt has been held by good fighters and has only 1 champ per division.

We shold ignore the WBc, if anyone wins a sttripped WBC title then they should be ignored as well. The fans know who the champions are.

ITs also time the real power brokers in the Sport, the TV stations started blackballing mickey mouse title fights. If HBO said they would not show a WBC title fight, due to ridiculous money grabbing rules like this one, then WBC will fall into line.

 

I don't know, I'm still in the mindset where one belt needs to smash the rest. I guess I don't mind the others as long as one is recognized as the true champ, otherwise we'll just keep getting more and more sanctioning bodies.

Also proves that the Ring Magazine is still the sanest way to see who the champion is.

 

It's sad when people have to run to a magazine to find out who a champ is.

Imagine the NFL choosing its champ as per sports illustrated.
