Matthyse will eventually stop a stubborn Morales. Erik will do ok early but Lucas as mentioned earlier is a bit more rounded and will eventually break down his body and stop him around 6-7 rounds.

For eme, Matthysse is still unbeaten, I think Eriks comeback will end abrubtly, sad as that may be.

If Bradley doesn't happen...And Guerrero beats Maidana then hopefully it will be.

    Khan vs Guerrero
    Maidana vs Matthysse

I think those 2 are the best match ups you could make out of the 4.

I'd expect Morales to get stopped, sadly. But I did say the same thing about the Maidana fight.

Maidana's poor, and Mathysse will give further proof of this.

    Barrera>Morales anyway.

A maidana who i believe thought hed blow him away straight away and was underprepared for the fight he got. I think a rematch would be a much more dominant performance from maidana.

Matthysse is underrated. He's a lot more savy then people give him credit for. Tough one for Erik.

Matthysse and maidana had some rivalry going back to the ammeters and who would make the team etc. Can't remember where I read the article but it was certainly I treating and their fight was very close.

As pros I'd probably favour matthyse as he may be able to avoid maidanas bombs better than maidana avoiding his, although maidana is definayely the bigger puncher.

This is all assuming my favourit fighter of our era Morales s finished. And judging by the way a one eyed slow morales fought maidana, I'd say that would be a mistake. Regardless...

I'd also like to see the other belt being put up between Guerrero and maidana as vacant, that way we can have a 3 way tournament with khan and the two argies. **** bradley

I've always agreed with this but if Erik pulls it off I might have to reconsider it based on longtivety.

I hope my optimism on Morales being very competitive is not unfounded.
I see Matthyse applying pressure to the body from the off and Erik has to show steel. I thought Erik started too late against Maidana and he needs to have success earlier to let Matthyse know he is boxing a fighting legend.

I agree. People see the KO% and think "One dimensional banger" but he's a good little fighter. Should beat and stop Morales (who'll have his moments though)

Morales vs Matthyse is a quality fight. Matthyse is one of the top guys at 140. If Morales beats him then he has earnt it. Khan fighting the winner has to be a shoe in.

I've got a sneaky feeling that Morales wins this. Having said that Matthysse is a good little fighter who was very unlucky not to get the nod against a better version of Judah than Khan fought (didn't see the Alexander fight so can't comment). Still amazed that two fighters who are both coming off of a loss can slot straight into a world title fight.

  15. im one of the few guys that didnt throw the superlatives at morales after the maidana fight

marcos`s style dictates that he`ll always be in scraps, morales looked dare i say tubby at 140pounds and any current world level 140pounder should be able to stay clear of one of those famous barrage of punches for 12rounds to take a decision

i see mattthyse actually stopping him in this one
