Hate this idea, but what bothers me most is the lame name 'Bridgerweight'. At least if it was called Super Cruiserweight it would at least be cool sounding.
Bridger weight, for guys that are big enough to fight heavy weight but don’t have the skill. Just look at the names on that list.
Michael Buffer: "And the NEEEWWWWWWW, Junior Heavyweight, but Senior Cruiserweight, SUPER light heavyweight champion of the WORRRLLLLLDDDDDDD"
Polish Hooligan could win a world title here. Adamek, time for another comeback. Dave Allen, destiny is calling.
"Today the WBC is setting a long awaited and needed historic decision. There will be a weight class every pound from 100 to 300 lbs. Far too long, boxers have been held back by antiquated weight classes from a bygone era, the WBC sees the vision of the 21st century and that is giving opportunities to all boxers based on their natural fighting weight. Just a short time ago it was historic for Henry Armstrong to hold titles in 3 weight classes. In the next five years we could see a boxer hold titles in 8 or even 15 weight classes. The WBC will be naming each historic weight class after an even more historic individual who has contributed to society. Stay tuned!" ---future sarcastic WBC press release
"When you look at Canelo Alvarez, theres even talks of him going after the WBC ghandiweight championship at 173 and dropping back down to 171 to capture the WBC stevenhawkingweight championship, this of course is dependent on him defending his WBC mothertheresaweight belt at 170 in may and getting past his mandatory at 174 to keep his WBC davidattenborroughweight title" --future boxing tv pundit
