WBC calling for the end of "interim" championships.

    President suliaman of the WBC said they are going overboard in sanctioning interim champs when it is only supposed to be used
    if the champ is injured or having legal issues. So...............to
    come up with a solution to this they're are coming out with the
    "silver" championship. This latest debacle proceeding the daimond
    belt that pac and cotto fought for, so what next? the bronze or
    platinum belt. Or, how about the new..................1621/2 lb
    myrhh champion of the world...........
    I don't know about you guys, but you can put dog **** in a zip locked
    bag and call it fudge, but it's still dog ****.

    So to put an end to the scourge of interim championships, they're taking the radical step of ... re-naming them as "silver" championships. What a great step forward in clearing up the title picture.

    I thought the Diamond Belt was as ridiculous as it could get but they keep surprising me. Do they have no shame?

    They need to award a belt of some sort to the winner of every fight. In the case of a draw, both fighters receive a belt. Losers of split decisions would receive a consolation belt since they technically won according to one judge.

    I wouldn't rate the IBA ahead of the WBC and WBA. The IBA is responsibe for creating that special 4 round world title belt for Butterbean. I know plenty of casual fans who thought that he actually held a "legit" title back in the 90s because of that BS. The IBA also sanctions bouts in the nonexistent Super Cruiserweight division which only they recognize.
