They make one every Cinco de Mayo and Mexican Independence Day. They rotate Mexican indigenous cultures (except when they want to do something else).

It causes this kind of confusion every time, like how Tyson Fury won the WBC Maya II Heavyweight title. It's not because he's Mayan, it's because he was preferred on their ancient calendar.

Likewise Canelo was prefigured as an ochre warrior watched over by an enormous, hideous Byrd.

I'm a little torn on the belts themselves. The designs are cool, I like a little creativity to mix it up, but then again for a momentous fight part of me wants to see that classic WBC green belt.

    Hmmmm.
I know what a Zapotec is.
I know what the AZTEC jaguar knights were.
    I know what boxing is.

Why I am confused about, is how do any two of them fit together?

That's stupid, you know they didn't make that for GGG.

GGG should KO Canelo then throw that belt in the garbage. You know the WBC is making that belt just to kiss Canelo's A#$.

It's nothing more than a trophy for this onr fight. No one will ever defend it, as it's meaningless.

Just what boxing needs, more meaningless "title" belts.
