I bet you it doesnt happen in September, something will come up to delay the fight, this will continue into the new year until Vitali eventually backs out completely, yet again screwing the fans and his oppenent alike.
You'll have to overlook his inability to learn............Punhisher is a bit slow witted, but we love him, anyway. :good (Kidding)
sounds to me like you don't want the fight to happen for some reason. Wonder why that is? Would you rather Peter fight an "easy" fight like Ruiz or Golota instead?
Thanks Heavyrighthand for your kind words, but if history tells us anything, Vitali will pull the same **** he has in the past, and we wont see a WBC title fight until early 09 if were lucky, and it may end up being Golota/Peter when all is said and done.
No, I have came on here and said it many times, if the Peter/Vitali fight does happen, boxing fans are for a treat. Vitali and Peter are both powerful, good chins, and never shy away from toe to toe action, I have gone on record to say this will probably be the most excting Heavyweight fight in years, while it lasts. I do see Peter fighting Golota in the future, Ruiz would not be an easy fight for Peter IMO, he was difficult for most Heavyweights he faced, and gave very close matches against both Valuev and Chagaev recently.
After his injuries, surgeries, and cancelations of the past three years, there is no WAY he'd have the balls to call off another fight, unless he was near death. I bet he'd fight Peter even if he were to pull, strain, or jam something. No WAY is he calling this thing off, regardless. He'd be laughed off the planet, and he knows that. He knows he's lucky to have this fight allowed to him, given his past cancelations, and he won't call this one off. Yes, when each fighter lands, it won't cause the other to back up, but will infuriate them, and cause the action to heat up, REAL quick. Each fighter's aggression will only fuel the other's.:good
Fair enough on your first point Heavyrighthand, but what stopped him from fighting Mccline last year then? You probably know more about the surgeries than I do, but I still cant understand why he backed out of that one. Me and you both agree that the fight will be exciting while it lasts, anyone that has followed both men so closely, will know that this fight will be great given both mens styles.
Herniated disc in his back. It'll be world war three, no doubt about it..........as you said, while it lasts.
:huh :huh :huh What's Soliman's influence on the people of Kiev? This idot Sulaiman should be endorsing a Vitali fight not politics. :hey :yep
I thought it had something to do with his back, but I was unsure. Who's to say Vitali wont pull that again? Dont get me wrong Heavy I want to see this fight as much as you, but I'm also getting tired of the Heavyweight division going through so many cancellations already over the past year, Iggy/Chagaev, McCline/Vitali, and the postponements of Maskaev even fighting, the WBC is especially to blame. I still cant understand for the life of me, why Vitali can come back after 3 and a half years of ****ing over fighters and his fans, and get a title shot, not even ATG like Tyson got a title shot right out of jail, he had to fight a few nobody's to get another crack at the belt, Vitali should be forced to do the same IMO.
If Jose Suliaman throws his support behind Obama, or Hillary, whichever one........you can bet that that one has the nomination in the bag.
