WBC has the final say not Wilder.

Wilder desperately wants to go back to fighting the Molina's and Scott's of the division.

Not saying he will be, but if Wilder fights a lesser name for lesser money next fight and get's beaten and things go downhill from there ... he's just missed out on a huge payday in Russia that may not be on the table in future.

This drugs issue might be a very bad outcome for both fighters.

There is defo more to this Wilder disappearing act than Povs positive Meldonium test which we know is not the same as a failed test. Wilder's mental state is probably just as fragile as his chin and he's been on the verge of cracking up with fear over his imminent KO loss. I think Wilder is unstable and his camp are covering up on this nothing positive test and blowing it up to protect Wilder' s mental state. The guy is obviously shot mentally. Stripping him might be a blessing.

Molina was a tougher fight for DW and it'll be proven if povetkin ever wants to continue chasing a title. It's very possible he could catch or outfight fury but the other belts are sn impossible feat for povetkin, that's the reason for his epo2.0 injection.

For the clowns who can't stop the illegal IV, this in fact is what happens with iv's mixed with substances. Take away the substance and it's NOT illegal

Sucks man, I just needed this fight to stfu most on here. Had zero to do with the fight itself, besides the highlight reel ko,it's a huge mismatch.

Way more mismatch than khan canelo. 6 rounds, NO WAY povetkin lasts 6 fighting minutes

I'm laughing at all the people taking out their outrage on Wilder instead of the guy who failed the test, lol.

The fact is, many people predicted that this fight wouldn't come off. And now Wilder has an excuse to back out.

The problem with sport drug testing (and why honest plain-spoken people like Fury and Thompson want to abolish it) is that the testing regime is enmeshed in money, politics, corruption, etc. There is no doubt in my mind that all top boxers use PEDs. And it's not unlikely that Povetkin (and other athletes with alot of finanical backing) abuses the testing regime more than most. Povetkin certainly appears roided up, but then so does Wilder (whose skinny ass competed at 201 lbs in the Olympics).

Yet while I don't have all the information I still see this as a duck by Wilder. The shame is that he can't prove me wrong by fighting someone on Povetkin's level because there's nobody else on that level available except Ortiz and from the perspective of Wilder's handlers, surely Ortiz is seen as the greater threat.
