A heavyweight torney just makes sense if a klitschko is in it and fighters who have a chance do something to klitschko!

Its a exelent way to find a deserving contender.

Would you rather see undeserving Ray Austins getting shot at the title. :think

Let Toney fight Vitali now that he's at a perfect weight.

Toney,Arreola(after he gets knocked out) maybe,Maskaev and some other and it would be pretty decent.

A tournament for the WBC mandatory spot is a great idea. Past Arreola they've got nobody that's realistically deserving of a title shot, and fighters these days need to fight it out to get to the top instead of padding their records and being protected.

    My super six :

    Oleg Platov
    Chris Arreola
    Denis Boytsov
    Kevin johnson
    Ruslan Chagaev
    Oldlanier solis

There would be some very good fights!

Feck it, even if they arent the best 6 (or whatever number) HWs in the world they should do it anyway. The winner would be in a good spot on the HW stage and it might encourage the participants to get in shape and polish their skills.

If it means 6 top 25 Heavyweights fighting each other then it's a good thing.

You know really I feel a bit sorry for the Kiltschko brothers. Since Lennox retired there is no one out there with a realistic chance of beating them. Their legacies will suffer because of the lack of competition
Arreola has a chance IF he'd lay off the beer & food & train himself into shape
Haye has a chance if he'd stop messing around & FIGHT

The tournaments are great, but are they really working?

Lets look on the latest IBF tournament between Brock, Byrd, Chambers and Povetkin.
Povetkin won and beat Chambers but Povetkin is still not ready for a title shot while
Chambers is next in the line .... thats a bit inconsistent with the tournament idea.

For Toney this would be a good thing, 2-3 tune-up fights in a short period of time (like 6 months), against decent but beatable opposition (IF James has something left), he'd keep in shape and then maybe get that title-shot. And nobody could claim he didn't deserve it then.

How does six men make a tournament. I would think 4 or eight,
