WBC, in fact, is sanctioning Jorge Linares vs. Mikey Garcia this year

    Again, from the same communique by the WBC:

    "Lightweight – champion Mikey Garcia (Mexico-USA) received special permission to fight over the weight in February in a WBC special event. WBC diamond champion Jorge Linares (Venezuela) will defend his championship in January. Both champions will fight each other immediately after their bouts."

    I'm not sure how this diamond belt is important for Linares, but... Wow. :)

    I'll watch no doubt but itll be Great but it'll be a brutal beat down. Mikey Garcia is a P4P #1 level fighter. This guy is like Mayweather and Marquez mixed lolll

    Great fight. I hope it pull through.
    Comparable skill wise. I pick Garcia, the fresher and sturdier of the two.

    Garcia would beat Linares down and stop him late. Linares gasses in the later rounds and his chin isn't very sturdy.

    Great fight. Winner gets Lomachenko at the end of the year and 2018 will turn out to be a superb year of boxing ( coupled with AJ vs Parker and CaneloGGG 2 )

    I'm not sure about this. Maybe after one last fight at 130 (it's not clear yet who his opponent will be) Lomachenko will fight Raymundo Beltran for the WBO belt (if Beltran wins).

    Lomachenko wants to fight one of the other champions at 130, he just came up from 126, but he will fight at 135 if he has to to get a good fight. Nobody wants to fight him at 130, neither at 135. I want to see Lomachenko fight ofter, Oscar has ruined a really good fighter, Golovkin by making him not fight, he has become inactive. Fighters ony have so many years to compete because of age...............it is Oscar's wish to destroy Golovkin's career by any means, the judges will be Byrd, Byrd and Byrd, Toney Weeks will be the referee so El Pollo can land low blows! Oscar will tell Bob Bennett what he wants.....................
