After Golovkin - Canelo II the WBC ordered that GGG should fight Charlo and the winner will become the mandatory to the WBC title, while Canelo Alvarez is allowed a voluntary defense. Once again it is on display how privileged Alvarez is, because Charlo should be his mandatory right now, he is the interim MW champion, after he beat Centeno the WBC said that he would face the winner of GGG - Canelo II, but that is not what is happening.

Don't forget, when Stiverne became the WBC champ, he had to face his mando Wilder immediately, he wasn't allowed a voluntary defense. Yet Alvarez is, and he is also helped by the fact that either Golovkin or Charlo could be moved out of his way. For that reason alone I hope GGG - Charlo doesn't happen next. Golovkin should fight Murata in Japan, and Charlo should be the mando, maybe if he beats Martin Murray because Murray has the WBC Silver belt. It is ridiculous how much of a protected diva Alvarez is.

You just have to ask yourself, if GGG had won the second fight (officially), would the WBC be ordering Canelo vs Charlo? Hell no!

Once again, GGG fans are willing to go to great lengths to justify why one of the best possible match-ups at 160 should not happen.

GGG-Charlo is as close to Hagler-Hearns as you can get currently.

I would rather see that than see Canelo try to outslick Charlo to a close decision win. And Canelo’s opposition has been far better than GGG’s to begin with.

I've got no problem with Golovkin fighting Charlo. I think it'll be a great fight.

I do have a problem with:

Charlo being mando and being forced to jump through another hoop to get his shot
Canelo getting a freebie when everybody knew Charlo was next in line

... basically the WBC protecting their new little cash cow from a hard fight like Charlo who pretty much pickpocketed the belts from a long reigning champion that actually beat him.

Charlo didn’t take the hard route to get the number one slot anyway. It’s reasonable to put him in with GGG.

Clenelo got gifted the belts. It's even more reasonable to give Charlo his shot.

Why are you guys surprised at anything the WBC , Bob Bennett, The NSAC or any other State Commission does
Boxing today is BLATANTLY CORRUPT !!!
We ALL KNEW that if Canelo survived 12 rounds he was going to be gifted the win
I continue to watch boxing b ecause I appreciate the young fighters who give their all in the ring I despise the Prima Donna cash cows & their crooked backers who have made the greatest sport in the world the laughing stock it has become today WWE results are more credible
