    Man I promise you:

1 title defense (Ward/Dirrell) + 1 for vacant title (Abraham/Froch) + Unification fight between 2 champs as a final will sell better than,

1 title defense and fight for vacant title (Ward/Dirrell) + 1 Regular fight (Abraham/Froch) + Unified title defense.

Not only that, but I have a good idea that who ever wins between Ward/Dirrell and becomes the unified champ, will want to have the bigger share of money AND the advantage to fight at home, therefore making negociation a *****. I'm telling you.. Doing it this way is stuuupid.

Dirrell is rated number 1. Where is the surprise to let him unify? The surprise would be to take number 2 and 3 instead of the number 1.

Anyway, the WBC is in bed with the super 6. The Froch-Dirrell winner will be the mandatory. The title will stay in the tournament.

You may be right. Negociations have been hard for many fights of the tournament. The final could be the most difficult one.

I have mixed feelings on this.

I don't like the idea they are trying to "sweeten the pot" for Ward/Dirrell, but I do feel at this point the winner of that fight is more deserving of that belt than AA/Froch.... but not by much. Wouldn't have complained had it been going to AA/Froch.

Thanks wba , Ward now has the WBA super title , a ring rip off belt...

Now when theese fights happen the WBA will release a regular and perhaps intermin title and the wbc can clean up with silver belts, what a joke this tournament has just created more title holders in the long run

why not hold the WBC belt back until the final. that way no-one gets their hands on it before winning the Super Six

call me an idiot, but i don't see why the titles are even directly involved in the tourney

if two guys fight, and one has a title, then sure, make it a title bought, but imo winning the super 6 and winning titles have nothing to do with one another

basically sounds like the WBC is trying to make a profit off of someone elses work (no surprise there)

Because then they'd miss out on the sanctioning fee for one fight

American Belt? the WBC is based in Central America, more specifically Panama I believe. The President is Jose Suilaiman. ****'s sake, learn the facts about the sanctioning bodies before you ***** about it.

The way they set it up, as mentioned by others, actually sort of make's sense.
    Kessler goes Emeritus
Froch/Abraham is an eliminator to get next shot
Ward/Dirrell determines a UNIFIED champ for the Super Middleweights
Kessler fights unified champ, which sucks for him if it's Ward because that was rough for him the first time.

The WBC has always favoured American fighters. Remember how they wrongly stripped G Rocchigiani of his WBC belt and handed it back to R Jones Jnr.
Normally the just beaten recent champion is #1 contender, so Froch should be first in line, but not here.
