it isn't ( I don't mind it either :yep ), and whether it helps boxers in any way is questionable, but if we're going by what's allowed or not allowed in boxing, marijuana is banned and Arreola was caught and suspended, period even without that ban, he shouldn't be in any top 15 of any abc org ranking going by what he's achieved recently in the ring Wilder will take him out in 4-5 rounds, I will be honestly surprised if this goes longer
Arreola hasn't lost since he lost to Stiverne (who is rated #2). He also has a KO1 win over Eric Molina, who is rated #12 by the WBC and #8 by the IBF. Whether people thought Arreola deserved the decisions he's gotten in the last year or so or not, he got them. I would rather see Wilder fight someone else, myself. But Wilder is the WBC champ. And he fights who the WBC ranks. And I think Wilder will stop him.
He doesn't have a single official win in 15 months. Repeat: 0 Wins in 15 months. He has no place in top 15, or top 50 for that matter. I don't know how on earth anyone can defend this. This is pure corruption.
Arreola won in January, this year, but he smoked weed and got caught. Bryant Jennings hasn't had an official win in two years ... and the same people complaining that Wilder chose Arreola were complaining he didn't choose Jennings.
the right $$$ can get anyone a ranking I wonder how much Bronco Billy Wright's team paid the WBC to get a ranking :think
I agree. How many top 15 contenders in the IBF did Anthony Joshua beat before he got a title shot? Answer: Not as many as Chris Arreola.
Officially it's NOT a win. That's what counts in the rankings. Last time Arreola won was 15 months ago against a journeyman. Just face it; there's no justification for this. If people don't react to corruption properly, it will only make way for more corruption.
And Mike Tyson's win over Andrew Golota wasn't a win either, except it was. And Erkan Teper's win over David Price wasn't a win, either, except it was. They both happened. And Teper will be rated as soon as his suspension is over. Bet on it. Arreola smoked a joint. If they had drug testing in 1978, Leon Spinks' win over Ali would've been removed. He was not only stoned, he had his ribs numbed before the fight. Arreola had his hand raised in January against Kauffman. He had his had raised against Kassi (they both did). He had his hand raised against Harper. We saw them all happen. An asterisk on a record doesn't change that. He hasn't lost since he lost to the current #2 contender. Arreola's got as many wins over current rated challengers as Joseph Parker does. He's rated #9 in the WBC. Wilder is the WBC champ. It's going to happen.
How am I irrational? He was rated #9 in January. He won the fight but got suspended. After his suspension, he was reinstated at #9. That's what happened. I'm just stating the facts.
The "French Pastry Chef" is Anthony Joshua's #4 contender. He'd be the best fighter Joshua has fought to date.
You do know he's a pastry chef right? And btw,how much is Burger Squad paying you to run damage control on this site?
