WBC just ordered Luke Campbell vs Ryan Garcia for WBC Interim title

What a refreshing news if it happens. Great fight.

I'd put my money on Campbell.

 

Garcia turned down 200k to fight some unknown, claims he’s the thirst biggest draw on DAZN behind Canelo and Joshua. DAZN responded stating he’s a big ticket seller and they can’t pay him the purse he wants while it’s behind closed doors.

He wants to get paid like a champ he has to step up and this is the perfect acid test to see if he’s ready for World level.

 

Well said. The problem is with Reynoso now. Reynoso has said that Garcia needs some time.
And lets face it, Campbell is a huge step up for Ryan.

Why are the WBC protecting Haney so much and treating Campbell like ****. Its exactly the same as what they did with Wilder & Whyte.

 

Another tough fight for Luke. Not many Olympic Gold Medalists have this tough a ride. He reminds me of Howard Davis.
If that fantastic losing effort against Lomachenko hasn't taken too much out of him, Luke should be able to stay away, draw the lead and counter his way to a decision but he can't afford to let Garcia pin him on the ropes for any period.
Looks like another terrific Campbell fight.

I'll be impressed if Garcia beats Campbell fair and square. Seems a bit of a jump from scrubs to Campbell.

 

I've got Garcia outpointing Campbell. I expect Campbell to box and stay responsible defensively. But I don't think he will get enough done on the offensive side. Garcia wins it with a better workrate. If it's in the UK Campbell could get the nod.

Great fight. I don't think it's too much of a reach for Garcia. It's a logical next step.

 

The hell? Luke Campbell is far from average.
Not saying that he is elite, but average? Come on!

He only lost to Linares due to the KD and gave Loma a damn good fight. Also avenged his loss to Mendy in impressive fashion.
Campbell is a superb boxer.

 

Maybe, I guess. He hasn't really beaten anyone that blows you away though. But he's gotten a hell of a lot of mileage out of his 2 losses.

 

Good points raised, could be a robbery so Campbell might have to chase the KO unless it's in the UK, then it'll be swung the other way.

 

Those Linares & Loma fights will be invaluable for Campbell experience wise.. Luke is too good to go his entire career without becoming a world champion, I hope he gets there, very intriguing fight.. Luke's last chance or a coming out party for Garcia..
