WBC makes Maskaev mandatory!!!

Put on a show. A double main event. Vitali vs Gomez, and Haye vs Maskaev.
Vitali and Haye win, and they get some press for their fight.
There's enough time to sneak in fights between Haye vs Vitali.

 

Now that makes sense:good

 

Just my take but I think Vitali will face Haye and probably be stripped of his belt. That sets up a Gomez-Maskaev fight for the vacant belt. If Haye wins he'll try to set up a fight with Wlad. If Vitali wins and if he keeps fighting than I wouldn't be surprised to see him in with the winner of Maskaev-Gomez. I don't think Vitali will want to wait to face Gomez than Maskaev before getting to Haye. The Haye fight is too big of a bout to put off while Vitali gets injured or Haye gets beat by someone else.

 

Sounds great, but I am sure that Maskaev wouldn't be willing to risk his ranking.

Vitali doesn't give a **** about the Title. he wanted to be champ at the same time as his bro, and that is done. Now the next goal is for Wlad to unify, so expect Vitali to vacate

You guys are forgetting that Vitali wants to step into the ring with MAskaev- there is some kind of bad blood from MAskaev winning in the amatuer days.

This is going to put a smile on Vitali's face.

 

Gomez wouldnt be too happy taking another non title fight since he already is Vitalis mandatory. But with the WBC, you never know. Fact is, he won the title eliminator vs. Virchis.

 

why should gomez have to jump through more hoops to get his shot? the WBC made him fight mccall, he beat him. they made him fight virchis, he beat him. he's earnt his shot.

 

Suliaman cranks them out so fast, he always has one on deck, and a couple more in waiting.

Anyway, I have not heard what Suliaman's input was as to Haye and Vitali fighting, and pushing Gomez aside. I wonder if Vitali will be stripped....

Gomez is worthy. Actually Gomez is one of the only ones with a decent chance. Although I still think Vitaly is a level above everyone else (including the brother).

 

On the bright side, a Maskaev-V Klitshko fight has been talked about for years. It'd be nice to see it finally happen.
