At the first sight WBC afects Ward by the decision of sanctioning as championship fight Direll-Sjekloca and declaring the first as "champion in recess".
But if you look closer you see Wards loses nothing while Direll has a chance of becoming a major champion avoiding Stevenson.

    Shame on WBC!
Ward has only 6 moths after becoming double champion and ring Champion. He would have been deserved 6 more months at least!

I suspect this not only favorize Direll over Stevenson but even,Ward, over, very possibly, Bute. Why? Ward would have a reason to delay more a very possible big fight with Bute in order to "clearify" things within WBC 168 titles!

Bute is 32 so very close of his peak, so any month of delay is favouring Ward.

Let`s remember Bute "wasn`t invited" in Super Six, beeing after that accused he didn`t want to participate. Also when two places was vacated Goosen opposed his entrance in the tournay. Now the same influent person worked with WBC for taking advantage for US fighters over Canada .

Making Ward 'champ in recess' and feeding Dirrell a softy is fishy to say the least.

It's sad cuz After Lil' Dirrell gets his title, Ward is gonna say that before fighting Bute he needs to win back his WBC strap, and maybe after that he'll consider fighting Bute. On the other hand it would be funny to see Bute taking on Anthony Dirrell first.

I make a correction:Goosen could work with WBC knowing on the one side,Direll hasn`t a solid back and on the other side, the tight relations between him and Ward.

But it`s just an assumption. It`s not sure.Could be.

Also the position of him against the entrance of Bute in tournay is a rumour placed on this forum.

I don`t accuse him for sure.Until is proved, the man has the right of being declared innocent.

But WBC helping Direll is beyond any doubt.

Fellow, you didn`t get it or you`re playing. It`s US against the rest.Direll will take Ward first.Has probably been arranged.Do you think WBC favors Direll and consequently to give Bute a chance to have two belts in the fight with Ward?

IMO.....this could be a good thing.

Tony Dirrel is SICK of being in Dre's shadow. And he even expresses his disgust after the Cunningham fight when Dre is rambling on....he almost looks like he's ready to fight his own **** talking brother.

Should it go the way your proposing, Bute could get Showtime aboard for that fight. They said they wanted an American fighter and who better than an undefeated american titlist.

This would smack Dre and Ward in the face and Bute could easily lure Tony into taking the fight with the HUGE money that Showtime and the WBC belt would bring into the mix.:good

Bute has a possible two fight series with Froch coming up so the belt would do nothing for him anyway considering he already holds an ABC title. The main thing for Bute if he beats Froch is securing a Ward fight with or without a belt.

Stephenson can go **** himself. I'd be happy to see him never get a shot at a title and waste away in contendership obscurity or brutally knocked out by someone.

Belts mean **** these days other than to stats mad numbers men

The WBC is not favoring Dirrell. They're favoring Sjekloca, since the guy is with GBP (and it's GBP who had them "vote").

They "had to" get the vote done before the Stevenson-Gonzalez Silver title fight.

Why not? Showtime would accept the fight since Dirrell is American. If Bute wins against Froch and Anthony, that would put him in a very good position to fight Ward in a big moneymaker fight.
