    You mean 100 through 300

Ricardo Lopez & Roman Gonzalez fought @103 lbs

On the other extreme side Nicolai Valuev never came under 300lbs

The governing bodies want to amass paper and digital assets, so as long as there is an unconditional demand for their product, they will increase the supply

Wvee seen all these guys fight at Cruiserweight, its the same division but allowing them to come in fat as they dont need as much motivation to get to a weight

He needs castrating first, then hanging.

Well I guess that's one way for the WBC to have a kind of heavyweight champion from the America's which they always seem to push and bend over backwards to achieve. Create a new division so guys like Fury and Joshua can't compete. Wilder I'm sure will be given a vacant title shot, making him a champion again.

I say every boxing fan on earth should refuse to financially support this dopey bridgerweight then eventually the WBC will get rid of it

Even a lot of the bigger heavyweights could probably dehydrate down to 224 lbs if they really wanted to. It wouldn’t be surprising at all to see someone weigh in at 224 and be in the mid 240s on fight night. The bigger you are, the more water weight you can lose. Even Joshua could probably make 224 if he trained for it and dehydrated. In fact, other than maybe Fury, I bet every heavyweight in the top 10 could make that weight (Ruiz could technically make it but the discipline to do it is another matter).

.... and this name isn't particularly original.

Remember in the early 1960s when they had Lollobrigidaweight, named after Italian sex symbol Gina Lollobrigida ?

(not to be confused with Superbriggiteweight - also called Bardotweight, but only by the WBC - named after French sex symbol actress Brigitte Bardot)

And then in the 1980s, there was serious talk of Bridgesweight, named after Different Strokes actor Todd Bridges, but that was scrapped when he kept getting busted for crack cocaine. *

*Although, of course, there were a few title fights in the Far East for the closely related IBF WhatchatalkinboutWillisweight world title but that was discontinued around the mid-'90s, I think.

It is... but much better than Bridgerweight.

That's how awful I think the new name is - and I favor having a super CW division !

Yes, good job WBC. That's exactly what boxing needed right now: a new division

Can you imagine buffer announcing this stupid weight class? Hilarious.

What if the other orgs create their own divisions, will this stupid ass name be used too? Or will they come up with their own?

    Junior heavy?
    Super cruiser?
Rename it heavyweight and 225 is hulkweight?
