Which fighters in the current 175lbs and 200lbs divisions will do well in this new weight class? It will suit large light heavyweights and small cruiserweights, but which fighters do you think will be able to make the most of it?
Makabu coming down in weight and Beterbiev moving up. Makabu is a fairly small 200 pounder who has great speed. I believe Beterbiev's power would still be there at Cruiserweight without question.
Kovalev could have had a good run at 190. Right now he seems to have issues with making weight. But he can´t really move up in weight as well because his toughness is gone.
Joe Smith is another big lightheavyweight who has the power to compete at 190. Mchunu is another small Cruiserweight that would benefit from not having to face big tall guys that walk around at 225.
